Newcastle boss Alan Pardew claims his French players share more than just the same nationality, more importantly they are all good football players. Pardew this summer drafted in Yohan Cabaye, Sylvain Marveaux, Gabriel Obertan and Mehdi Abeid to join Hatem Ben Arfa on Tyneside.
He said: "They are just good players. Whether they are French, African or Brazilian, it doesn't matter, they are just good players.
"We happen to have a market in France which we know very, very well, and the players we have signed from there have been hugely successful so far."
