AC Milan chief Adriano Galliani thanked fans for the welcome they granted new signing Mattia Destro.

The AS Roma striker was swamped by Milan supporters at the local train station yesterday.

"I was pleasantly surprised when I saw so many people for Mattia, I did not expect it," Galliani said.

"I'm happy. Enthusiasm is important, but I hope that it can be turned into positive results."
