Galliani: Ancelotti is AC Milan's future

AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani is adamant Carlo Ancelotti will be coach next season.

"The future of Milan is Ancelotti," insisted Galliani during an event with the club's 48 sponsors.

Ancelotti was also dragged into the news this week when Inter boss Jose Mourinho went on the Chiambretti Night television show.

Mourinho explained that "many Coaches have won the Champions League, but only one was winning 3-0 and still lost."

It is the latest public sideswipe in an increasingly bitter feud between the two tacticians.

"Replying to Mourinho only serves to feed his mythical status, so I will no longer reply to anything he has to say," commented Galliani.

"Does Ancelotti feel he needs to prove something to him? Carlo is like the great cycling champion Fausto Coppi, a single man leading the way.

"He is the only person in the world to have won the Champions League twice as a player and a Coach. He doesn't need to prove himself to anyone."
