Gallas expects better France performance against Holland

William Gallas believes France will be more suited to playing Holland after being frustrated by Romania.

Les Bleus produced a lacklustre performance in their opening game and were held to a goalless draw by Victor Piturca's side.

Gallas expects the Dutch to be more positive than Romania and feels France should be able to take advantage.

"We will just have to see what happens on Friday," the Arsenal defender said on Sky Sports News.

"We struggled against a team who did not want to play. Who just came to get a draw and that has created some problems for us. "Perhaps the match against Holland will suit us better."

Holland were in supreme form as they beat world champions Italy 3-0 on Monday but Gallas insists that was not a bad result for France.

He explained: "The Dutch played very well. They scored three times and that gave them three points, so a lot of people are very disappointed with the result, especially the Italians.

"But it is all the better for us, it has shown us that Holland will be a big challenge."
