Fulham defender John Arne Riise is backing Swansea City to enjoy a long run in the Europa League.
Riise believes Swans have the squad to cope with the extra commitments.
"The first thing to say is that it's a big achievement for the club," Riise told the South Wales Echo.
"Swansea have done really well in the last couple of years and winning the League Cup to get into Europe is a big step for them. They play some awesome football and you could day it is typical European football the way they keep the ball.
"They move so much with the ball and without the ball, it's great for the player and the club. The downside is that you come back early but you can't take it away because it's a great competition to play in.
"You play football to play in European competition, either in the Europa League or in the Champions League against the best teams.
"It's great to come up against those different cultures."
