Fulham are preparing to submit a formal offer for Arsenal defender Cedric Soares.

The Cottagers want to secure the experienced right-back in the January transfer window.

Per the Evening Standard, Soares is also open to the move, as he wants regular first team football.

Cedric has been a target for Fulham boss Marco Silva for several years, having worked with him at Sporting eight years ago.

However, both Atletico Madrid and Bayer Leverkusen are also in for the defender.

Arsenal have not made a decision on whether they will sell, while a loan deal seems almost impossible.
