Seattle Sounders head coach Sigi Schmid has no problems in releasing Fredy Montero should the striker have the chance of playing in the Premier League. He told Sky Sports News: "Fredy Montero is with us right now. There are no official enquires that we are aware of at this stage.

"He is a very important player to our team, he is the second leading goalscorer in our league right now.

"I think he has a bright future. I am sure one day that opportunity (of a move), whether that is sooner or later, will come along.

"I think anytime a player gets the opportunity to play at a higher level and to move on, myself and the club are never going to stand in their way."
