Fulham youngster Marcello Trotta was delighted with his brace in victory over Lokomotive Leipzig.

Trotta hopes to be challenging for a first team berth this season.

"I'm very happy now after scoring my first goal for the senior team," Trotta told fulhamfc.com.

"Even if it's a friendly, it means a lot for me and hopefully it's a sign of things to come this season.

"I was very happy because I'm trying to be in the right place, and I believe that if you give me a chance then I will take it.

"Once you've scored it makes you more comfortable and it gives you more confidence. I had a few other chances but I'm a striker and when I get a chance I really want to score a goal."
