Fulham's Hangeland not reading into rumours regarding future

Fulham defender Brede Hangeland is not letting transfer speculation distract him ahead of the new Premier League season.

The Norwegian has been linked with several of Fulham's rivals including Arsenal but he insists he is only focused on upcoming matches for club and country.

"That is something I will think about if that comes about," he told Sky Sports News from Norway's training camp ahead of their 2010 World Cup qualifier with Scotland on Wednesday. "Right now I am concentrating on doing a job for Fulham and for Norway in an important game on Wednesday."

Hangeland added that he was just happy to remain at Craven Cottage and improve his game further.

"I think when you come to a league like that it takes some time to settle and I think last season I did that," he added.

"I was happy with my performances and those of the team.

"I have said all the time that I have had a great 18 months there and it is a great club. I'm in no rush to go anywhere."
