Fulham's Duff ponders A-League or MLS move

Fulham veteran Damien Duff admits he is considering the next phase of his playing career.

The 35-year old Irish winger is expected to depart Craven Cottage at the end of the season and could be on his way to the A-League or MLS.

Duff, who calls Blackburn Rovers, Chelsea and Newcastle United as his former clubs, revealed to the Irish Times that be was pondering moving to either Australia or the USA when his Fulham contract expires this June.

"I'm up at the end of the season," said Duff, who played 100 times for the Republic of Ireland over a 14-year international career.

"The club haven't spoken to me and I haven't spoken to the club but we don't need to speak: I'll be leaving Fulham. I've had a great time here but that's football.

"I've looked at the Australia or America thing for a bit, it would be a different way of life, a different league; I think life's too short just to be stuck in the rat race, if that's the right phrase, over here so I'd maybe like to taste something new before I go back home."
