Fulham legend Brian McBride has jumped to the defence of Blackburn Rovers boss Steve Kean.
The former US star was a Whites player whilst Kean was Assistant Manager at Craven Cottage between 2003 and 2007.
"His time at Blackburn has been difficult in that there's been a lot of change," McBride told fulhamfc.com. "The new owners came in, they let the coach [Sam Allardyce] go, and after that he [Kean] was probably wondering if he would get the job full-time. He did, but he hasn't had the support of the fans, so it's not been a smooth ride.
"A lot of coaches would lose it under such circumstances, but he hasn't, he's kept his focus and shown that it's about the team and not about himself. He's gone about his business as normal, kept focused on preparing the team, and that's a great quality."
