Fulham goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer won't rush into signing a new deal.
Schwarzer, whose current deal ends this summer, is adamant discussions have not started and no offer has been made, contrary to claims by manager Martin Jol.
A close source revealed to The Sun: "Mark has had a brilliant season and loves playing for Fulham.
"But, more than anything, he wants to be assured he will be first-choice and not simply be sitting on the bench next season.
"No offer has yet been made to him, but this is not about money for him.
"Australia have a great chance of qualifying for the 2014 World Cup finals in Brazil and Mark knows he needs regular first-team club football to be selected.
"He has looked after himself, is in great physical condition and remains one of the best keepers in the Premier League."
