Fulham defender Philippe Senderos is happy to look forward at Craven Cottage.

Senderos is now fully fit and eager to establish himself as an automatic choice with the Cottagers.

"To be honest there is competition for places throughout the team now and that can only be a good thing. When you look around, this is a very competitive squad now, but as we're playing at home and abroad this season that is vital," he told fulhamfc.com.

"I know the challenge that I face because the partnership between Brede Hangeland and Aaron Hughes is very strong. They are two of the best around and have done much for the success of this Club in recent years, but that's what I have to do and I'm confident in my ability as a defender.

"When the chance comes to show what I can do I have to make sure that I take the opportunity."
