Fulham defender Grimmer grateful to Port Vale for Scotland call

Port Vale defender Jack Grimmer was delighted with his Scotland U21 cap last week.

He made his debut for Aberdeen, aged just 16, and having progressed in the Fulham youth system, his League One performances on-loan with Port Vale got him the call up for his country.

He said: "It is something I have been waiting on for a while, so I was happy to finally achieve it.

"It takes a lot for a manager to trust you in an international if you are not playing in the first team for your club. So, the loan move has definitely been a stepping stone to getting international honours."
