Fulham defender Briggs open to Peterborough extension

Fulham defender Matthew Briggs is already talking up the prospect of extending his loan at Peterborough United.

He admits he would be willing to extend his stay with Peterborough if it goes well.

He said: "At Fulham I wasn't really playing much so I just wanted to get out on loan.

"I kept telling the manager every day I need to go and play games, because obviously I was on the bench or not in the squad, so I just need to get experience under my belt.

"I wanted to get fitness as well and this is the perfect opportunity for me. It's a month to start with and then we can extend it afterwards if all parties agree. I would be interested in extending it if everything works out."
