Fulham boss Martin Jol was happy to give two of his new signings more action in victory over Aston Villa.

Fulham won 1-0 thanks to Chris Baird's rare goal.

"I put Ashkan Dejagah and Giorgos Karagounis on in the second-half - and again that's two other relatively new players. So it's a bit of a transition," said Jol.

"I thought the players that came on did well, and Dejagah who came in following injury looked really sharp and bright in possession. It was a pleasing debut for him."
