Fulham boss Martin Jol has admitted a frustrating 12 months in the transfer market.
Jol reckons Fulham were the most unsettled team in the league last season given all the changes and considers survival a decent achievement in the circumstances.
He said: "If you look at the changes and the problems we had and I always play with an English spine, we couldn't quite find the balance. Of course Berbatov was here but without him we wouldn't have had those 14 goals in the league, so in hindsight it was good to have him here. Even Petric scoring five goals without really playing and [Mahamadou] Diarra helped us big time but he was injured.
"I feel that we were probably the most unsettled team of all after the transfer windows and to still be in this league was our first priority."
