New Fulham boss Mark Hughes was delighted with their 5-1 friendly win over Werder Bremen.
The scoreline was dominated by a hat-trick from Zoltan Gera.
"I thought we were excellent in the second-half," Hughes told fulhamfc.com. "In the first-half we possibly showed them a little too much respect in terms of allowing them too much space in which to operate.
"They're a good side and have talented players, so if you allow talented players time and space, at times they will create things.
"Zoltan had an immediate impact when he came on the pitch with some excellent finishes - in the end we were very comfortable winners.
"It was a good performance in the second-half and fitness wise, we looked very strong. Lots of guys have come back in good shape and have built on the fitness levels they had last year."
