Fulham ace Bryan Ruiz was delighted to make a winning FA Cup debut in victory over Charlton Athletic.
Ruiz made his FA Cup debut as Fulham comfortably saw off League One leaders Charlton Athletic on Saturday afternoon and the Costa Rican international clearly enjoyed the occasion.
"It was very nice to play my first match [in the FA Cup] especially because we won," Ruiz told fulhamfc.com. "It was a hard match. Charlton also played very well but it was good that we scored first and could control the game."
Bryan caused the Addicks' defence problems all afternoon with his deft touches and penetrating runs and the attacker was certainly a star performer as Whites ran out easy winners at Craven Cottage.
"I'm very happy with my play," admitted Ruiz. "I assisted Clint and won a penalty and I'm fit and I'm enjoying playing here. It was a very good match to win and to score four goals is very good for our confidence.
"We're entering the second part of the season and with these four matches in a row that we haven't lost we can get a lot of confidence for the rest of the season."
