A close friend of Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric says a move to Saudi Arabia could be on.

Modric resisted a big money move to Al Hilal last summer, but the Saudi Pro League interest remains.

Borja Couce told Shoot: "This summer there was interest and the objective was to re-sign. He has had several offers (from the SPL), two from both clubs in the capital and one from another club, but he is only thinking about Real Madrid."

However, Couce, who is an agent, is not definitively closing the doors.

"The fact is a move to the Saudi Pro League, however, is possible if a suitable offer arrives."
