Frey: Sommer a silent Inter Milan leader

Former Inter Milan goalkeeper Sebastien Frey admits he's been impressed by Yann Sommer this season.

The Swiss has shone in his first season in Serie A.

Frey told Inter's matchday programme: "I like this Inter a lot because I see a winning project and a competitive team.

"There are many players who have amazed me, I believe that Calhanoglu has had a wonderful evolution since he wore the Nerazzurri shirt, he has reached a level of great maturity and today he is one one of the best in his role.

"Sommer? He is a goalkeeper with great experience, a silent leader who transmits a lot of serenity to his teammates, the defensive department has great numbers and it is thanks to the whole team."

He added, "I can say that I had the privilege of wearing the Nerazzurri shirt, of playing for a great Club where great champions have passed through. I experienced magical moments... one of those that struck me most was the roar at San Siro after Baggio's brace against Real Madrid, an incredible atmosphere."
