Papiss Cisse, a reported target for Blackburn and Fulham, will remain a Freiburg player until the German outfit receive a suitable offer for the striker. Freiburg have declared that no bid has yet been lodged for the 25 year old who has scored 22 goals this campaign.
An offer from Rovers has not met Freiburg's requirements, with the player believed to be valued at around £13.5million.
Cisse is also under contract at the Dreisamstadion until June 2014 and Freiburg do not want to sell him during the next transfer window unless they have time to bring in an adequate replacement.
General manager Dirk Dufner told Sport BILD: "Papiss Demba Cisse definitely has the idea of playing for a bigger club at some point in his career.
"Still no club has offered the certain amount of money required.
"Should this become true at a very late point in pre-season and shouldn't we be able to sign a replacement then, Papiss will have to stay on."
