Fraser Fyvie enjoying playing for Wigan boss Martinez

Fraser Fyvie is enjoying his time at Wigan Athletic.

Latics manager Roberto Martinez splashed out around £500,000 to sign Fyvie and the midfielder believes he's the perfect boss to learn from.

He told the Scottish Sun: "The manager's style of play is a lot different to other bosses.

"He plays really good football, it's attacking, he's always wanting us to press and it's enjoyable. As well as the two cup games I've played a few reserve matches and the manager's there every week.

"All the boys at Wigan love him and couldn't speak more highly of him.

"You can quite happily go up to the manager and tell him you're not sure about something. He'll sit down and show you on videos, he's brilliant at that.

"I want to be going into the first team this season. If you prove you're good enough he'll put you in. He's shown that with James McCarthy, who's still only 21. He's playing every week and he's probably one of the first names on the team-sheet because he's doing so well."
