Frank de Boer to be named Holland coach

Former Crystal Palace boss Frank de Boer is in line to be named new coach of Holland.

The Dutch national team have been without a manager since Koeman left the role to become Barcelona boss in August.

Dwight Lodeweges has been in charge for the interim but De Boer is expected to land the position on a permanent basis, reports RTL Nieuws.

Holland are looking to make an appointment before the next break for international football in October.

The 50-year-old boss, who has managed Ajax, Inter Milan and Crystal Palace, earned 112 caps for Holland as a player between 1990 and 2004.

De Boer is currently out of work after leaving MLS side Atlanta United earlier this summer.
