Francis Coquelin is battling for his future at Arsenal.

The Daily Mail says Arsenal are taking significant steps towards a £10million move for Lyon midfielder Maxime Gonalons.

Arsene Wenger's scouts have been studying the 24-year-old this season and will again watch the defensive midfielder when Lyon play Nancy on Sunday after receiving glowing reports from French head scout Gilles Grimandi.
