France national team boss Laurent Blanc concedes that England should be favourites for tonight's international friendly at Wembley.

The former Manchester United star is well aware of the talent that Fabio Capello has at his disposal even though the Italian has some injury worries and admits that England are at a higher level than Les Bleus.

"Each international side has got its own problems," Blanc said. "They are ranked higher than us in the FIFA rankings and are one of the top European sides. We cannot say we are at the same level at the moment."

And Blanc was quite complimentary of England's World Cup campaign which ended in a heavy defeat at the hands of Germany.

"At the World Cup, like all England fans, I thought they would progress further. But I think things could have worked out differently if that goal had been given against Germany," he added.
