France coach Laurent Blanc has taken a swipe at Manchester United fullback Patrice Evra. Evra lost the national captaincy and was given a five-match ban after the team mutinied under Raymond Domenech at the 2010 World Cup.
He has since been recalled, but enraged Blanc by claiming he is hard to replace.
Blanc said: "After we drew with Bosnia to reach the Euro finals he was saying, 'That's it - job done'. That is no good for us and no good for him, so I put him in his place.
"I asked him what he thought he was playing at. I told him to stop pretending to be a VIP."
