Former Liverpool striker Robbie Fowler is heading back to Europe for the time being.

The ex-center forward has left Saudi Arabian second-tier side Al-Qadsiah, where he had been serving as head coach.

Fowler's departure is a surprise, given his team was unbeaten so far this season.

Ex-Real Madrid and Spain striker Michel is taking the reigns of the Saudi second tier side instead.

The club did put out a positive social media post, thanking Fowler for his time in charge.

There is no indication as to whether personal matters may be involved in his decision to leave.
