North Queensland Fury signing Robbie Fowler is expected to land in Australia within two weeks and start training before his Fury teammates.

Fury chairman Don Matheson confirmed that the former Liverpool star would be here soon to commence pre-season training.

"He's not far off. He was keen to do additional fitness work but he's got so many things to work through the date has been pushed back," Matheson said.

"But I know he is keen to get here and get stuck into some training to get a start on the others.

"It's exciting."
