West Bromwich Albion goalkeeper Ben Foster hopes they're now on the up with Tony Pulis in charge.
The 31-year-old stopper believes the appointment of Pulis has provided a stabilising influence missing since the days of Roy Hodgson.
"It's been so frustrating," he told the Birmingham Mail. "When we came in for pre season in the summer we were all really focused on having a better season than last one, we didn't want to have to go through a repeat of that.
"Everybody was very determined that things were going to be better, we wanted to get back to what it used to be like under Roy really and a lot of things were put in place to do that. It took a while for it to take root, but I think that's where we are now though.
"I've worked with Tony Pulis before at Stoke, I know what he's about and, for a team like us, he's an absolute diamond, he's exactly what we need."
