Ben Foster is eyeing a return for West Bromwich Albion within the next two months.
Foster had suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury during a Premier League clash against Stoke City back in March and it was feared that the goalkeeper would be out of action for almost a year.
However Foster's rehabilitation has gone very well and the goalkeeper has now revealed that he expects to make a return to the pitch for the Baggies by the start of October.
Foster told the Birmingham Mail: "It's going really well, hopefully I've got only another couple of months to go but touch wood it's all gone really well so far and I'm in the final stretch now. I'm at the point now where I've just started doing a bit out on the grass, kind of semi full-fitness and you want to keep pushing it and pushing it.
"But you've got to stay grounded and not go crazy. You're within touching distance, the season starts on Saturday and you want to be there and do it but you know you can't, you've just got to take your time."
