Celtic midfielder Joe Ledley believes Fraser Forster's England call-up has given hope to teammate Gary Hooper.
Forster was yesterday selected in Roy Hodgson's 25-man squad for upcoming World Cup qualifiers against San Marino and Poland and Welshman Ledley suggests the fact that the Three Lions selectors are looking at Scottish football has given star striker Hooper a good chance of possibly making the next call.
"It's got to give Gary hope to know that Roy Hodgson is looking up here," said Ledley.
"He's probably been our best player this season, scoring goals and working hard setting goals up.
"It's only a matter of time until he gets his call-up if he keeps doing what he's doing.
"He could easily follow Fraser into their squad."
