Former Valencia captain David Albelda is in talks about a return.

Ser Deportivos Valencia says Albelda has held talks about becoming new director of the club's academy.

The former midfielder has been working as a commentator and LaLiga ambassador, though also has past coaching experience.

Albelda recently met with VCF president Layhoon Chan to discuss the position.

For the moment, no offer has yet been tabled to the former Valencia star.
