Robbie Keane has been named Major League Soccer's Most Valuable Player for 2014.
The 34-year old LA Galaxy captain has landed the award ahead of Seattle Sounders striker Obafemi Martins, New England Revolution midfielder Lee Nguyen and New York Red Bulls' Golden Boot winner Bradley Wright-Phillips.
Former Tottenham striker Keane scored 19 goals and provided 14 assists in 29 regular season matches which helped the Galaxy to second place on the overall MLS table.
Keane has starred for LA since his arrival from England in 2011 and will be looking to clinch his third MLS Cup when the Galaxy take on New England at the StubHub Center this Sunday.
