Michael Laudrup is among four names on the Newcastle United managerial short-list.
According to The Guardian, the Magpies are considering a quartet of managers to become the long-term replacement for Alan Pardew while interim boss John Carver remains a possibility.
Former Swansea City boss Laudrup is currently with Qatari club Lekhwiya but is due to come out of contract at the end of June.
Also on the radar of the Toon is former Lyon boss Remi Garde, who was heavily linked when Pardew left for Crystal Palace in January, and Steve McClaren who was sacked by Derby County on Monday.
