League One club Sheffield United have appointed Nigel Adkins as the club's new manager.
The 50-year old former Southampton and Reading manager has replaced Nigel Clough at Bramall Lane and will bring with him Andy Crosby as assistant manager and Dean Wilkins as first-team coach.
Adkins has signed a three-year deal with the Blades who were beaten in the play-off semi-final by Swindon Town last season.
