Former Socceroo hero Aloisi praises Kennedy, Bresciano

John Aloisi has heaped praise on both Josh Kennedy and Mark Bresciano after the Socceroo defeated Uzbekistan 2-0.

The hero of Australia's 2006 World Cup qualifying campaign said Kennedy was brilliant in the air and was impressed by Bresciano's performance.

"I thought overall it was a good performance. The first half was a little slow, but they (Uzbekistan) defended well in the first half," Aloisi said.

"They certainly didn't make it easy for us. I thought Mark Bresciano was brilliant after half-time. it would have been good to see his name on the scoresheet.

"But clearly Josh (Kennedy) made a big difference when he came on. The Uzbeks had no answer to his height advantage.

"Kennedy again showed just how good he is in the air.

"It was just a great, great header from him to led to the first goal, but again Bresciano played a part in the first goal with the delivery of the ball into the box."
