Blackpool midfielder Charlie Adam admits he had to leave Rangers in the summer for the sake of his career. The 23-year-old initially had a loan spell at Bloomfield Road last term and made the permanent switch during the close season.
Adam could have stayed and fought for his place at Ibrox but he instead accepted the challenge of playing regularly in the Championship with Blackpool.
He said: "It was a big decision to leave Rangers. Every player has to think carefully about any transfer and Rangers are a big club to leave.
"You don't rush into it at the first chance to go. I've no bad words to say about anyone at Ibrox and my life has moved on."
