Ex-Arsenal, Chelsea and Spurs defender William Gallas has announced his retirement from football. The French international finished his career in Australia with Perth Glory.

The 37-year-old told L'Equipe: "It is not an easy thing to announce. You always tell yourself that you can keep going, but I think today I cannot go on any longer."

Gallas won two Premier League titles during his time at Stamford Bridge.
