Former Portsmouth and Cologne bosses linked with Hibernian vacancy

Ex-Portsmouth boss Paul Hart and former Cologne manager Uwe Rapolder are the latest names to be linked with the vacant Hibernian job. Hart, who has also managed Queens Park Rangers and Crystal Palace, has a proven track record of developing youngsters and is excited by the prospect of succeeding Hughes.

"The Hibs job is one which really interests me," said Hart.

"They're a club with a great tradition in Scottish football and have produced some excellent young players over the last few years.

"That kind of club is one that appeals and excites me."

Also in the frame is Rapolder and he believes Hibs have the potential to compete with SPL giants Rangers and Celtic for the title.

"I've heard a lot of good things about the club," revealed Rapolder.

"They have good young players and I believe they can compete with the likes of Rangers and Celtic if they're given the right direction and mentality."
