Former Man Utd youth Cooper open to FC Dallas stay

Kenny Cooper insists he would like to remain with FC Dallas if the club decides to take up their option on him.

The 29-year old striker, who kicked off his career as a youngster with Manchester United back in the early 2000s, is unsure of the Texan outfit are looking to retain his services but says he would be happy to stay in Frisco.

"I would love to be back, Dallas has always had a special place in my heart," the former 1860 Munich, Portland Timbers and New York Red Bulls man told MLSsoccer.com.

"If my option is not taken … I like to think I could live anywhere and I've enjoyed both my experiences [in Europe]. In the future, I'd be open-minded to different things."

Cooper made 31 appearances for six goals as Dallas finished second bottom on the Western Conference table.
