Former Man Utd youngster King frustrated at Blackburn

Joshua King admits his current situation at Blackburn Rovers is growing increasingly frustrating.

The 22-year old forward is struggling to force his way into the first team at Ewood Park despite consistently representing Norway at international level.

The former Manchester United youngster started in Wednesday's 1-0 friendly loss to England at Wembley but continues to find himself on the subs bench at Blackburn which has him in an anxious mood.

"I did a very good pre-season and was surprised when I did not start the first match of the season against Cardiff," said King.

"I came back from holiday in good shape and heard from people in the team that I was one of the very best players in the running.

"It is very frustrating. The situation in Blackburn is very strange.

"Had I scored a hat-trick at Wembley, it is still not certain I would start for Blackburn in the next match.

"The coach (Gary Bowyer) has his reasons. I just have to respect them and keep working hard."
