Former Man Utd keeper Zieler to undergo Leicester medical

Ron-Robert Zieler is set to have medical with Leicester City.

The German goalkeeper has been granted permission by Hannover 96 to leave the club and join the Premier League champions, provided contract discussions go as expected.

"Ron-Robert Zieler has exercised the option right enshrined in his contract and Hannover 96 has been informed that he will travel to the English champions Leicester City for contract talks," read a statement from Hannover.

"In addition, the 27-year-old goalkeeper will complete the sports medical examinations in England."

Zieler, who spent time with Manchester United's academy and first team since 2005 and 2010, has played over 200 games for Hannover since arriving at the HDI-Arena six years ago.
