Former Liverpool and Manchester United striker Michael Owen wants to become a jockey!

Owen has always been a keen racing fan and owns a yard in Cheshire which is home to more than 100 horses.

But now Owen wants to take his passion a step further by riding in a horse in a fundraising race - which could lead to further rides in the future, reports the Daily Star Sunday.

Owen admitted: "I'd love to ride in a charity race."
