Oscar Parejo is being heavily linked with the vacant head coaching role at Colorado Rapids following the departure of Gary Smith.
Former Fulham and Wycombe Wanderers midfielder Smith and the Rapids parted pays at the end of the 2011 MLS season and it has been reported that ex-Colombia international Pareja could be the man to step into his shoes.
Pareja has served as FC Dallas' academy director and reserve team coach for the past few years and it is believed that he has held advanced talks with the Rapids who finished seventh overall in 2011 following their 2010 MLS Cup triumph.
