Former Chelsea defender Desailly: England lack a star striker

Former Chelsea defender Marcel Desailly does not believe the England national team has a world-class striker.

The 41-year old French World Cup winner believes the Three Lions are capable of going all the way in the 2010 version of the tournament but must find a star striker to make things easier.

"England are one of the favourites. When you see Argentina struggling, Brazil are fine, the Dutch are fine but I want England to do well," Desailly, who played under England boss Fabio Capello at AC Milan, said.

"I have worked with Capello and the one thing that you understand from working with him is that he is a winner.

"England may be do not have a top, top amazing striker yet, but otherwise England are really complete.

"Capello has achieved his first objective with England. He has got them to the World Cup finals and now they have a great chance."
