Former Celtic sports scientist Alan McCall has joined the North Queensland Fury as their strength and conditioning coach.
28-year old McCall is a major off-field coup for the fledgling club as he boasts experience at the highest level of several sports.
Once involved with the Scottish Rugby Union team along with the Queensland Reds in Australia and the Brisbane Lions Australian Rules Football club, McCall was most recently employed by Scottish powerhouse Celtic for three years.
North Queensland coach Ian Ferguson said having McCall at the club was a huge bonus.
"It's a vital part of what I'm trying to achieve, he's a major, major part, so I'm absolutely delighted to get him here," Ferguson said.
"It's a big coup for us getting such a quality coach at that level, coming from the Scottish Premier League champions to North Queensland Fury."
