Former Arsenal winger Theo Walcott set to retire

Former Arsenal winger Theo Walcott is set to retire from professional football at the age of 34.

Walcott, who was playing for Southampton in the Premier League last season, is not continuing his career.

Per talkSPORT, the ex-Everton, Saints, and Gunners star is calling time on a 23-year spell in professional football.

Walcott netted 80 goals in 397 Premier League appearances for all his teams.

While he did spend time training at Reading during the off season, he did not sign a deal with the League One team.

Instead, Walcott has made the decision to retire and pursue other interests in the coming years.
