Nottingham Forest have signed Hull City striker Matty Fryatt.

Despite being offered fresh terms at the KC Stadium, the lure of regular first-team football under Stuart Pearce has convinced him to join the Reds.

Although he has given up the chance to play in Europe to drop back down into the Championship, he is known to be pleased to be moving nearer to his family home.
