Nottingham Forest are ready to snap up released West Bromwich Albion midfielder Giles Barnes.
The Mirror says Steve McClaren is set to make ex-Derby and West Brom winger Barnes his first signing at Nottingham Forest.
McClaren fancies Barnes on a free transfer after the 22-year-old's release from Albion.
Barnes failed to score in 19 appearances for the Baggies last season.
